Atlas Shrugged, Part 1
We’re all grown ups here, so we can all acknowledge that Ayn Rand was a miserable, inhuman monster whose philosophies appeal to sociopaths. But that’s not important. What’s important is that she was also a terrible writer, and her book Atlas Shrugged is a huge, doddering bore. There’s nothing cinematic in that novel.

And that’s proven in the trailer for .Atlas Shrugged, Part 1 A film long in development at one point Angelina Jolie was going to star, Atlas finally got made by Paul Johansson, who you probably don’t recognize as an actor on One Tree Hill. He directed it and stars as the semi-mythical John Galt.

The trailer for the film is a cheesefest, filled with bad performances, cheap photography, poor CGI and lots and lots of talk about trains and steel. And more talk about trains.
